20200818_163911   Current state of installation before dish washer partition.

20200819_163922   Current state of installation after dish washer partition. Note the misalignment of the lower portion to the upper cabinet. Upper cabinet is apx. 1” to the right of the original cabinet (this is OK) but the dish-washer partition is 3” to the left of the original placement leaving only 36” for the refrigerator.  This is unacceptable as the refrigerator required 39” (as specified in the design drawings) in order for the door adjacent to the wall to open.

20200819_163959   Floating cabinet (closest to camera) was supposed to centered on the trailing cabinet NOT installed flush to the back wall. This detail was discussed with the designer. However, because they were having difficulties with the design software, detailing the countertops, they did update the design accordingly nor did then mention it in the design notes.

20200819_164224   Details the incorrect installation of the floating cabinet.

20200820_104145   The cabinet installers rerouted the power lines for the garbage disposal and dish washer. IN the process, they tore up the sheetrock. They also destroyed the pipe wall caps in the process (which was not necessary). They have since placed a plywood cover over this area but have not as yet replaced the pipe wall caps. I have filled these gaps with expandable insulating foam. The only work left to do in this area is the electrical connection and replacement of the pipe wall caps.

20200820_104156   See 20200820_104145 (above).

20200820_104223   See 20200820_104145 (above). A bit excessive on the cutout, the installer appeared to be rushed and a bit aggravated after I reminding him several times that this needed to be cut out properly (it was originally a much smaller hole that did not expose the receptacle screw holes).

20200820_104954   Status image, no issue.

20200820_105031   See 20200819_163959 (above).

20200820_112512   Margins placed on the floor to indicate the footprint of the new cabinet (yet to be received).

20200820_143449   The installation of the handles did not take into account the door frames. Restrictor plates were installed and a new cabinet door was ordered.

20200820_143455   See 20200820_143449 (above).

20200820_143509   See 20200820_143449 (above).

20200825_134149   After all of the issues encountered to date we decided to take a closer look at everything and discovered that the floating cabinet outer surfaces were not finish grade. That is, you can clearly see two different laminates on both the right and left sides of the cabinet. Closer inspection showed that the inside walls of the cabinet appeared to be finish grade material. This cabinet was reordered but no delivery date has yet been furnished (this is separate from the other two 24” cabinets).

20200922_155507   Incorrect crown molding ordered (the dark one on the left). See previous images (above) for correct style.

20200922_171030   As expected the flooring people left TOO much space between the cabinet and the flooring (almost 0.75"). The flooring installers were instructed to cover this section so that the cabinet installers could cut-out the flooring (as needed) when the new cabinet is installed. I expect that, due to a lack of English speaking skills they simply did NOT understand these specific instructions.
